Our Approach

At Partners for Equity, our individual philanthropic journeys vary but at the core of our collective approach is a deep understanding of the unique needs and challenges faced by our partners.

We believe in backing dynamic organisations that are led by people with passion and a commitment to creating lasting impact, who recognise the problems that their communities face, and who demonstrate a resolute dedication to finding effective solutions. Our partners work across diverse sectors including health, education, livelihoods, human rights and disability support, primarily in Sub Saharan Africa and Southeast Asia.

Our evaluation process sees us travelling to meet with our partners frequently and ensures that our partners’ initiatives are well-aligned with existing efforts, eliminating duplication and maximising the reach of resources. Our commitment to long-term sustainability is at the heart of everything we do.

Financial year 2024/2025

During the 2024/2025 financial year, we made over 300 separate grants to our International Partners, totalling around A$24.7 million. Below is a breakdown of grants by sector and geographic area. Over the past 10 years, we have sent our International Partners grants totalling more than A$160 million.
