Kenyan doctors, Benjamin Wachira and Jeremiah Gitau started EMKF to address the lack of established emergency medical systems in Kenya. EMKF supports national and county governments to streamline how emergency care is delivered in the country. As Kenya’s first emergency physician Ben together with Jeremiah have grown EMKF to become the leaders for emergency care in the country. Emergency Medicine Kenya Foundation has been a PFE partner since 2021.
